CAN YOU COPY A SUBREPORT AND CHANGE THE DATASOURCE?

HISTORY
Phm question:
Hello,
I have eight regional subreports to developed. I would like to develop one;
and, for the others, just copy the original one and change the datasource.

Is this possible? So far, all I see on the copied, pasted report is a
blank, subreport control.

Please help!

darlyS answer:
It would be easier to create one report that will work for all regions, and
include a parameter to choose which region to run the report for. Only one
report to maintain that way.

Phm followup question:
I understand the parameter report option; however, it does not work in this
instance. I am developing the report for Senior Managers; and, I will not be
running it.

The task is to have one main report, with 6 regionals, no interaction
involved. I have developed all the the queries for the regions. I just did
not want to develop 6 separate subreports.

PHM,

Yes you can.... however you may have to update the fields on your report as
you are changing the datasource.

As a side note, next time you post... please use lower case, upper case is
like yelling at us and some of us don't respond well to yelling!

If the subreports are all the same with the only difference being they are
different subsets of records, then you only need one subreport. Use a record
source on your main report of each unique region and use the link
master/child to filter the records displayed in the subreport.
