copying protected worksheet and its formatting

I created a worksheet form, saved it as a template, and
protected the form. This makes the cursor hop from one
unprotected cell to the next, in sequence, as I want it
to, in order to complete the form. However, when I insert
a new worksheet and copy the template to it, the new
worksheet loses protection, formatting (no gridlines) and
the ability to move from one "unprotected" cell to the
other (since it's not protected anymore, it won't do
this). Is there any way to copy a protected template to a
new worksheet and keep it as the original without having
to protect each new sheet? Thanks for any suggestions
offered.

Joan,

Try this.

Right click on the tab you want to copy and a pop up window will appear.
Select Move or Copy, check mark "Create a copy" at the bottom and click on
where you want it (this is under Before sheet:). This will copy everything
exactly as it is to another tab. I do this all the time and it's great
because it copies all margins, protections, etc.

Let me know how you make out.
