Copying formulas - problem with the sum

When copying a formula from one cell to another, the formula is correctly
pasted but the result is the same as the original cell it was copied from.?

For example cell A1 with formula "=H1+G1" equals 10 (H1=5 & G1=5). However,
when the formula is copied to A2 the sum should be 12 (H2=6 & G2=6), but the
sum in A2 is still showing 10?? I checked the A2 cell and the formula is
shown as "=H2+G2". I usually have to retype the formula (rather than copy)
to get the correct sum. Any advice as to how to correct this.

It probably says CALCULATE at the bottom left of Excel - as in, it
sounds like you have manual calculation set - tools, options,
calculation tab - check automatic to resolve this.
