--Hi There,
I am trying to copy a voice recording I have downloaded on to a CD.
Everything goes O.K. until I try to burn it - apparently the item is too big
to fit onto one 80min CD. Any idea on how I could perhaps split it on to two
CDs.

If you have been able to help me - thank you very much !!!
Kind regards,
Wen

R.click the file, select:send to compressed folder If that doesnt cut the
size
enough,download windows media encoder 9 series,open the encoder,select
"convert audio/video",run the file thru...After,send to compressed
folder,burn
to cd....

What format is the file? Is the size of the file less than 700megs? If so
and it's a "wav" file are you sure you're burning it as a data cd and not a
music cd? If it's some other format, some sound editing programs will
probably open it and allow you to cut 1/2 of it and paste it as a second new
file. I find Nero Burning Rom's WaveEditor especially good for dealing with
a lot of different file types and if necessary saving them to a different
format.
