copying cd's

before I got a new internet connection, it would take 2
minutes to copy a cd to the Media Player. Now it takes 2
hours. Anyone know why?
 
What exactly do you mean by 'copying a CD to the media
player'?

If you mean view the CD so you can listen to it then the
reason is simple.

If you fire up a CD in most media players whilst connected
to the internet it will fire up CDDB which trys to name
the tracks on the CD. This will make the process slower.
