I am looking for the instructions to copy music cassettes to computer music
library for futre making of cd. I use background music in my music ministry
in rest homes. It is easier to use a cd instead of a tape.

I've done it with great east (although it seems time consuming). The
following is a very good article I found on google.

I tried what you said but it didn't work. I plugged one end of the cable
into the mic jac on the tape player and the other into the mic jack on the
computer [ I don't have a blue jack, only a red for the mic and a green for
headphones]. No sound comes out of the computer speakers. What am I doing
wrong? I downloaded audacity.

Plug the loudspeakers into the green jack.

Try headphone to mic. Mic to mic will not work.

opened Audacity, plugged one end into mic jack on the tape player, the other
end into the mic jack on the computer, pressed record on Audacity and play on
the tape player. Could not hear sound on the computer speakers and nothing
recorded.
