When I try to copy a user profile to my server and I click the Permit To Use button, the only thing I can connect to is the local computer. I should be able to connect to the domain and add domain users. I have created a network ID for this computer and I am able to access mapped drives on the server but when performing this operation, my computer acts like it can't see the network. I am logged on as the administrator to this computer. I have performed this procedure on many other computers without a problem and I am confused about what is going on. Could it be a service that is turned off? Any help would be appreciated.

You said you are logged on as "administrator" to the computer, but you
need to be the "administrator" to the domain - to have access to
domain resources.

I was logged on as the administrator to the domain when I mapped a drive to the profile folder on the server. Then when I choose the Permit to Use button that is when I only see the local computer.
