Copy to CD

When trying to copy picture/files to CD-R - I get "Iwctrl" in my bottom tray
- none of the balloans that there are files to be written to cd etc. as
stated in the microsoft instructions - the files appear to be on the CD -
then I click on D: drive and choose to finalize CD - it says finalizing
medium - Click OK when done - and CD drive freezes everytime - it seems to me
that there is some other CD writing software that is being started instead of
the XP included software - please let me know if anyone has had/heard of this
issue - THANKS

You may want to try something other than what's included in Windows...
I know Nero has a free trial...If it works...you can buy it...
and if it does not work...you at least have lost no money.

(chances are it will work though)

Have not heard of that particular issue, but I would use something else.

Full function applications (free) for CD/DVD burning would be:

CDBurnerXP Pro

ImgBurn (burn ISO images)
http://www.imgburn.com/

Another Option would be to search the web with Pricewatch.com or
Dealsites.net and find deals on Products like Ahead Nero and/or Roxio.

Are you are using Windows media player when you try to burn CD's, or are you
using another Windows program?

I was trying to follow MS directions - my pictures - select files - choose
copy to cd - balloon is supposed to pop up to write to cd etc...... - does
not happen - downloaded demo of Nero7 and it seemed to work - just curious
why the MS copy function did not work. - thanks
