copy report

I have two reports that are very similar. Rather than create two reports
from scratch I created the first one (which contains a few subreports), then
copied/renamed it to create the second report.

Problem: Any change to one of the subreports in Report A also changes the
same subreport in Report B. Is there a way to break this link?

TIA,
Gin

you'll need to create different subreports OR you can make the
recordset of the subforms dynamic.

Since you copied the reports, the subreports in your "copied" report
are still referencing your original subreports. If you need to make
changes to the subreports in the "copied" report, you will need to
"copy" the subreports, then change the subreport names in the "copied"
report to the new subreports that you copied. Then you will be able to
make your changes.

Copy the subreport and change it's name.
Use this renamed subreport in the second report.
Use the original subreport in the first report.

Tom,
I almost certain those are the steps I followed. I'll try it again and see
what happens.
Thanks.
