copy-pasting from word 2003 to InDesign 2.0.2

I've recently upgraded from Office 2000 to Office 2003. The new word won't
let me copy text and paste it into my version of Adobe InDesign. It simply
shows the text in some form of default, digitzed style that cannot be
manipulated or even highlighted. My 2000 word version wasn't a problen and I
believe that it's a simply a set up problem that I'm obviously unaware of.
Thanks

Hello-

There should be nothing about Word that affects pasting into another
document... once you copy & go to the other program, Word is out of the
picture. I have not witnessed any such behavior, but I'm using InDesign CS
and also typically use it's Place command rather than copy/paste.

You might want to check your InDesign Preference settings to see if there is
anything there that may be causing the problem. Also, I seem to remember that
v 2.x was rather picky about whether you had the Type Tool or the Selection
Tool selected when you paste. If the latter you usually got a picture of what
you were pasting... but I'm a little fuzzy on that, having used CS since it's
initial release.

There is also the possibility that there is a problem with the Windows
Clipboard. Are you experiencing similar difficulties with any other apps?
