Copy/Paste Issue on Envelopes/Labels

The copy/paste function will not work when I try to paste copied text onto an
envelope. It isn't grayed out on the drop down list, but it simply doesn't
do anything. CTRL+V does not work either. If I copy then paste the address
into a Word document, then highlight and choose Mailings/Envelopes it will
show up that way. I would like to eliminate that extra step, and until the
last month or so, that was working well for me. Has anyone else seen this
issue?
 
Where are you pasting from and into which Word version? Was Word running
when you copied the text to the clipboard?
