Copy, Paste, Delete buttons?

I got a new laptop with Vista pre installed. I like Vista so far but
one thing that annoyed me the regular Toolbar buttons in Explorer are
gone ! Where is Copy, Delete, Paste, Cut buttons? I loved it in XP
that you can customize your explorer buttons. Why would MS take a
back step on something so useful. Why should I use a menu to
accomplish this simple task ? Is there any way to get these back?

Hit the Alt key to add it temporarily. Rt-click in the tool bar area and
select Menu Bar to add it permanently.

That's the way Stevie B. likes it, so that's the way it is.

I believe the OP wants the icons on the toolbar,
not just the Menu Bar.

I tried that, nothing happens...Right click is showing yahoo toolbar
and Norton Toolbar which is in IE...
Is there another control to enable this?
thanks

I've had the same problem, actually one of many problems with vista. I had
been told 'they are aware of this problem and are working on it...no idea
when it would be fixed...'

But, I just found something that has brought back my cut, paste and copy
tools! I'm hoping that they stay put but... you never know.

This is what I did, see if it works for you:

Go to "Tools" (upper right corner of your opened IE page). Go to
"toolbars" and then to "customize." If the cut, copy and paste buttons are
not in the "current toolbar buttons section, move them there. Once they are
in that section, (as mine were), you need to move them to the top of the
list. Highlight each icon and move them up so they are in the first, second
and third places. Close it and check out your explorer bar. They should be
there!

Click "Organize" just under the back button near the upper left of the
Explorer window.

All these posts relate to IE and NOT Windows Explorer in Vista.. The fix for
IE7 is great: thank you.

That's correct. My original question relates to Windows Explorer not
IE. I got the buttons in IE but Windows Explorer has no option to
display these...!
