I am creating labels (Avery #8460) and although the copy shows on the screen
as lined up on the left, when they print the first 3 lines of the address are
centered within the label. I've tried copying and pasting from Word,
re-typing within the label box, hitting backspace and delete at the beginning
of each line, but nothing works.

Very frustrating! Any help would be much appreciated.

Just tried it, didn't work. FYI, whenever I open Word the cursor is centered
on the page and I have to select the flush left icon or all copy is centered.
For some reason it is my default setting and I don't know how to change it.
Don't know if that is connected to this issue. I'm using Word 2007.

The Normal style in your base template (Normal.dotm) is probably set to be
centered by mistake.

Right-click the Normal style box in the Home ribbon and choose Modify. In the
dialog that appears, click the flush left icon in the Formatting section. Click
the "New documents based on this template" option at the bottom of the dialog
and click OK. Then try starting a new document -- it should be left-aligned.

Thank you, Jay! That fixed the label problem and the annoying necessity to
click on the flush left icon everytime I worked in Word.

Appreciate your help, Anne
