Can you please explain what you're trying to accomplish? What version of
Outlook? What type of mail account? And also, please define what you mean by
external storage facility?

How do I file my emails from MS Outlook to an external storage facility?

Have you investigated on how to perform *backups* of all your files to
provide for their recovery? Why just backup Outlook's files and not the
rest? Any backup program (well, the good ones, that is) will save a
copy of Outlook's data files (.pst, .dat, .nk2, .srs, etc.).

You could even install the Personal Folders Backup add-on from Microsoft
that will create a copy of your .pst file at the intervals you configure
for the add-on. Or you could just copy the .pst file yourself.

Individually? Drag and drop will produce a .msg file. Or in mass, copy
the .PST file after Outlook is closed.
