I want to save my emails as text files to a seperate disc. How can this be
done?

Emails are already text files and can be opened in a text editor such as Notepad.
Go to File, Export, Messages, Microsoft Windows Mail. Make the export destination
under your user profile on the hard drive, then copy from there to external media.
WM can't export directly to external media.

"File | Save AS"

If that does not do what you are trying to ask for, then be more specific in
your question.

file - save as...
file type: text files (*.txt)

or save them as .eml files (they are still text files)
