Copy Command Gets Complicated

I write macros that automate repetitive tasks by issuing
sequences of keystrokes and mouse clicks just like I would
in person. Up until now I have been using CTRL+C to do a
copy in Windows applications. However, it doesn't work in
other applications like the results window of Ransack.
Ransack has implemented the Windows application menu which
will copy an item by entering C but if there is more than
one item in the menu denoted by C, I'm in trouble .

It would be nice to have a copy macro that would work for
Windows applications and others and would be independent of
the content of the application menu. I thought about this
all day and can not come up with a solution. I am hoping
some of the bright people here can help me out.

Your help is MUCH appreciated. Thanks- bye- Larry

Any advise given is my attempt to show appreciation for all
the excellent help I've received here but I'm no MVP so it
may only apply NUGS (Normally, Usually, Generally, Sometimes :)

You could replace Ctrl+C with Shift+Del, Shift+Ins. Here is a list
of most keyboard shortcuts:

Greetings & thank you Pegasus for your response.

Problem with 'List of the keyboard shortcuts that are
available in Windows XP' is that non-MS apps dont have to
have these. Ransack has hardly any, Ulead software has
some,...

Thats why I thought of app menu(rt-clk) but I dont know how
to click last C in app menu( assuming any other C entry
would be in 1st 4 or 5 sections of it. U cant count entries
from the top cause different files have different app menus-
some are 4 entees, some 15!

Such a natty problem with a very basic function.

Comments/suggestions/corrections appreciated.
Thanks- bye- Larry
