When copying a row of date from a website (using netscape as my browser), the
paste function into excel treats and pastes the row as a column. Does any one
know how to get it to paste as a row?

Eric;

I have found that this is an issue as well. If you do this frequently from a
specific site or two I would suggest the following.

In Word 2003, paste the information that you wish to edit. Go to
Edit>Replace. Select a few different characters, many times the tab character
(^t) or a space character ( ). You'll need to play with it a little. Once you
have found the character that you need, close the replace dialog box.

Go to Tools>Macro>Record new Macro. Then open the Replace dialog box. Select
the various characters that you want to replace with a tab (^t) or paragraph
(^p) and replace as needed. Once you have everything corrected, stop
recording the macro and save as MyMacro or something. The next time you need
to copy the material you can just run the macro.

Copy and paste your data into excel as needed.

God Bless
