Copy cell to another workbook

S

Stevie

I have a large file which I am using for inventories. I would like to be
able to copy the cells for prices from the final week previous months
inventory to first months prices of the next months inventory.

This is how my first cell in the column looks, exactly what I want. But how
can I extend this formula down the whole column to reflect each column on
the previous workbook without having to change the last number each time?

='[Inventory p11.xls]Walk In'!$R$5

If I try to drag this formula the lenghth of the coulmn all formualas are
exactly the same

Any help is appreciated

Thanks

Copy it to first cell
Edit this cell to make formula read ='[Inventory p11.xls]Walk In'!R5
(look! no dollars)
Now drag down and the R5 will increment
best wishes
