coonnecting to Oracle Database

Richard

I have a laptop that currently has access to an EUL on an Oracle server; I
want to establish the same connection on my new desktop.
How can I get the needed data from my laptop; and how do I set this up on my
desktop?

Note: On the laptop I get to the Oracle tables by:
file/get external data/link to tables/(file type ODBC)/Machine Data Source
then just select the displayed Data Source name. The problem is that I can't
right click on the Data Source to see its properities.

Under Control Panel (in Classic view) have a look for ODBC Data Sources
(or something like that - not in Windows at the moment so I can't
check!). Double-clicking this will open a window displaying all defined
ODBC connections and allow you to view the properties.
