Cooling solutions for X850Pro

Hey, all.

I just got an X850Pro to replace my 9800Pro. Nice boost.

Buuut, the fan's a little louder than I'd like when it fires up.

I see a cooling solution at Arctic Cooling (the ATI Silencer 5):

http://www.arctic-cooling.com/vga2.php?idx=61

I'm curious if there are any 'no-brainer' quiet cooling solutions for
the X850Pro - This one certainly looks beefy enough to be interesting.
;)

Thanks!!

Great cooler
I had one attached to my X850XT, and temps were ~ 32-34ish idle and around
45ish under 3d load. Was dead quiet too. Took me about 10 minutes to
disassemble assemble, because I double checked every step I did to make sure
I didnt make any mistakes. Used AS5, and all was good.
(dead mobo took it out and Im back to 6600gt).

Yes, I have some AS5 - my 9800 started acting up, and I realized that
the stock conductive paste had cracked and that the heatsink was just
being held in place by the spring clips ;-)

Now what about breaking the condictive paste on the stock sink of your
850 to get the stock cooler off - was that a big problem?

Nope. I ran the ATI Tools artifact checker and 3d thingy, when the temps got
up to about 65ish shut down and removed it and took it apart. Had enough
residual heat to make it reasonably easy.
I just undid the screws, and removed the bracket, gave a twist as I was
sliding it off and it came apart no problems. (didnt try to lift straight up
as I thought that would be harder, due to hardened goop.) Just follow the
instructions and you shouldnt have any problems.
