Hello

Just installed the beta and run a couple of scans (one
deep). Does not seem to run any kind of checks on the
cookies folder even though the box is checked. Is
this 'cos its beta or am I perhaps doing something wrong
here?

This beta build doesn't do anything with cookies. It isn't a bug, it was an
intentional decision for this release. This may be reconsidered for future
releases.

Without cookie cleaning this software is next to
useless. Cookies make up the majority of Spyware

I don't think very many experienced folks would agree with this assessment.
Majority is certainly correct, but I don't think you have looked very hard
at the capabilities, both in terms of active monitoring, and removal of
Microsoft Antispyware yet.

Really--cookies are the least of our problems with regards to spyware, even
though there are lots of them. Are you really meaning to say that a
keylogger in place is negligable as measured against the ability to remove
cookies?

Then run ad-aware or/and spybot. They take out your cookies.

Remember this is a beta and only the first one. Runs pretty good for an
early beta.

CCleaner is also a good program for that, and cleaning out other trash. <g>

Are they planning to have the windows spyware take care of cookies
eventually? Or is it meant to be that way permanently?

The only statement so far is that this feature is "under consideration for a
future (beta) release."
