What does the mailing list look like in Word? If it's a table with all
information in one row, then you should be able to copy it over to Excel. Or
you could first convert it from text to table in Word (Table - Convert), then
copy it to Excel. You might have to make sure that your city, state and zip
code are separated by paragraphs or tabs -- whatever character is used as the
separator for the name and street address. The separator you use will
determine in which column the data ends up after conversion.

where the illustrations match what you have. If you are putting it into
Excel for use only as a mail merge source, you would be better leaving it as
a Word table.
