Converting windows media player files to mp3

Does anyone happen to know how i can convert all my music into mp3 format?
Some are mp3 and others are Windows Media Player files and i can not make an
mp3 cd with all the songs i need.

Use a conversion utility as you might from a google on "convert wma to
mp3" e.g. dbpoweramp

I am having problems with just the opposite .... I'm trying to convert to
WMA which reduces size of song, and store my MP3's to discs, trying to free
up drive space ... I had been using a feature that did this, but I can't
backtrack and locate it. I tried the Google search, and all I got was priced
software for this, or trialware.
Any help with this?

BTW it's not a bad thing to pay for software: it enables many of us MVPs
to have a living and help others as well.
