I have a large amount of powerpoint presentations as html that were created
in PowerPoint, and now the actual presentation have been lost. Long story
short i need the .ppt files back, is there a way to convert from the html
files back to the ppt file? I've looked around the net and not been able to
find any tools to do it, thought you all might know more.

Any help would be appreciated.

Which version of PowerPoint do you have? In the later versions, you can open
your presentation in your browser, and you should have the option to edit in
PowerPoint. Once it is opened in PowerPoint, save it a PowerPoint
presentation.

If the HTML was created using PowerPoint in any version from 2000 onward, you
can start PowerPoint, choose File, Open and pick HTM/HTML in Files of Type if
necessary, then browse to and open the main html file for the presentation.

Magic.

If the HTML was generated by an earlier version of PowerPoint or some other
program, it's probably not possible to convert back to PPT, other than as a
series of images.
