Converting MP3 to WMA

I just started using dBPowerAMP to try to convert MP3 to smaller WMA audio
files. Does anyone have any suggestions on settings? What is the absolute
smallest setting I can have without getting too much distortion (getting a
3meg file down to around 200k)? What is a good mid-range setting for
listening to music?

Thanks for the help.

Your ears are the best judge, but getting 3MB down to 0.2MB means that
you are throwing away (at a course approximation) over 90% of a file
that has already been compressed. That's probably worse than a really
shocking AM radio.

128-160 is the usual middling range for music. Speech only can go down a
lot lower to telephone quality.
