Converting Microsoft Works files into Excel 2000

Can someone tell me if there is a way to convert a
spreadsheet that is done in Microsoft Works to Excel 2000?

You will need to open the file in Works and do a Save As and select xls format

Mark, my problem is that I don't have MS Works. Some one sent me a file through email that was done in MS Works and I want to open it and copy into Excel, but it won't open file. Any other suggestions? Thanks for your help, Janet

That's the only way I know of. You might have to ask the originator of the file to send you a new copy saved as an XLS

MS does not provide any import filters for this. You may want to have
a look at a third party converter, a trial version of which can be
found here:
www.rl-software.com
