Hello, Pete;
Until somebody who has actually done this answers:
Have you tried dragging your 123 file into an Excel window, and if Excel
opens it, saving it as an Excel document ("Save as type:" down at the bottom
of the "Save As" dialog)?
Regards,
IanRoy

Hello, Frank;
Are you sure the converter is needed? Microsoft Office Online Help shows me
these words: "For example, if you open a Lotus 1-2-3 file with a .wk3
extension, Excel saves the file as a Lotus 1-2-3 file with a .wk3 extension.
If you make changes to the file in Excel, you should save the file in an
Excel file format to be sure all of your changes are saved. To do this, be
sure to use the Save As command and select Microsoft Excel Workbook in the
Save as type box." And, "When you open a Lotus 1-2-3 worksheet or workbook in
Excel..."

IanRoy

Hi
the *.wk? format is the old Lotus 123 format. all newer Lotus versions store
the file in a *.123 file format. And this can't be openend with Excel

Hello, Frank;

Most of the time you can save a Lotus 9 file as an Excel 97 file and have it
open OK. Occasionally I have had a problem getting Excel to recognize a file
and just open a new Excel file and copy the Lotus file into it.
