converting hard drive to ntfs

im trying to use convert.exe so i can convert what i
thought to be a fat32 drive to nfts, but when i run it, it
says the drive i'm trying to convert is raw. Is there
anyway to convert the fat32 drive to ntfs without
reformatting and losing all my data?

I am having a similar problem, and I already tried converting. When I d
it says it's already NTFS. Mine is 160GB WD, and when I check the driv
properties, it says file system is RAW, and the capacity is 0 bytes
This WAS my backup drive, and I just reloaded my system and can't los
any of the info from the drive (about 40GB worth!!!). Also checked th
BIOS, and it's reading the drive correctly, and in disk manager it i
reading my drive correctly and says it is active, but the file syste
is reading blank. XP Home on C:
convert <drive letter> /fs:ntfs

You'll probably do best to send it to one of the drive recovery services.
