Converting from .CSV to .XLS without opening file

Is there any way to convert a file with a .csv extension
to .xls without opening the actual .csv file? The reason I
need to do this is since I have about 100 .csv files that
need to be converted.

No. I'd write a macro but even manually this wouldn't take 30 minutes. You
could be done already!<g>
