Converting Access 97 Database to Access 2003

I have an Access Database which I designed about 8 years ago with Access 97.
I now have the task of converting it over to Access 2003. In compiling the
code I am getting errors with this statement

Dim TORG12A As Database, ssMaxONE As Snapshot

DAO reference is enabled..........

Any help is appreciated.
