converter

I have trouble finding a good converter program to convert my mpeg files, so
I use use the clips in the movie maker.

I tried all the ones in this website:
http://www.myvideoproblems.com/WebPages/UsefulProgrammes.htm

Some programs don't work, or have to close in the middle of converting.
Help plz.

I'm having a similar problem converting my .MOV files from my digital camera
to something Windows Movie Maker can use. Instead of converting, wouldn't it
just be easier for W.M.M to just be able to use that file extension?

Microsoft be able to use an Apple format????? Would MacDonalds allow Burger
King to sell Big Macs!!!!!



If the convertors are failing it could well be a problem with the source
file.
