Converted .wk4 to .xls Display date will only show as

Hi,
I have coverted a Lotus 123 to Excel XP, the date shows
in the cell as 01/00/00 for any date I type in that cell.
However on the forumla bar the date displays as 12/15/52.
Which is what I typed in, This cell is Named DOB. I have
tried every combination of formatting both in the Excel
version and then trying to change the format of the 123
file before converting.
The calculations made from this date appear to be
correct.

Help!!!

There's an option under:

Tools|Options|Transition Tab|
Uncheck Transition Formula Entry

With that enabled, excel will add an equal sign and see it is a couple of
divisions =(12/15)/52

So turn it off and you'll be ok.

(In fact, I've turned off all of Lotus 123 settings.)

Thanks a bunch Dave - this worked very well!!
