convert works 4.5 database to access pro 2003

I have an extensive data base that was created in
Microsoft works version 4.5 for windows 95.

I need to convert this works database to access 2003.
My operating system now is XP.
I can not find any help on this subject.

I also have office 97 on an old laptop.
Maybe I will have to find out how to convert the
works to office 97 then office 97 to 2003?

Im very frustrated.
Can anyone help?

For reasons known only to Microsoft, Access and Works can't communicate with
each other.

If you still have Works, you can export the data to a format that Access can
read (.csv or .dbf are common choices), then import the data into Access.
You can't, however, salvage any functionality that might have been built
into the database.

If you don't have Works, you might be able to find someone that does.
Internet Cafes often have it installed.
