Hi

If you want to burn onto a blank CD as a VCD (video CD) you can playback on
your dvd player, or to share the file as a regular CDrom then it will be
best to convert. If you only need to use it on your own computer then just
save as WMV.

The best way of conversion I have found (from advice from others on here),
is to save the movie from MM2 as a DV-AVI file rather than WMV - you can
select this is the save movie list. It will save the movie to your hard
drive and will be massive in size (dont worry keep reading!) - but better
quality. Then download a program such as TMPGEnc - i got mine from
download.com.com if there isnt one on there you can always use P2P. This
program will let you convert the file to an MPG (which is my own personal
opinion is the best). This will also reduce the size back down. Then your
set! I then use my CD burning program (Roxio easy cd creator) and create
Video CD's from those mpg's and it means I can play them back in my DVD
player and dont need a DVD Burner!!!

Email me if you need more,
Andy

TMPGenc can convert a wmv file to either AVI or mpg. However, you
must change the *.wmv extension to *.asf in order for TMPGenc to
recognize it.

Other programs, such as Nero or the freeware VCDEasy will convert an
mpg to a VCD. I prefer VCDEasy because it has many more features for
VCD burning than Nero or EZ CD Creator, and it is easier to use if you
want to make an autorun VCD.
