Convert Presentation to Slideshow - HOW?

I have created a powerpoint presentation, and i want to convert to a
slideshow file, i.e, .pps file which i can email my colleagues....I'm
rather new to Power Point, how do i do this? When i upload the file
currently, and then open it, it opens in the Power Point window, i.e
the viewer can edit it then and there, and has to click on View menu>
Slideshow for a slideshow.

Rename it from .ppt to .pps
Or open it with PowerPoint,File > Save As, enter the file name (no
extension), and then select "PowerPoint Show(*.pps)" in the "Save as Type"
box.

As Karl says but

to rename file extensions you will need to go to windows explore > folder
options > view and UNTICK "hide extensions for known file type" and ignore
any warning you get about damage etc.

To save as pps you need to scroll down a bit in the save as type box, lots
of people miss this!
