Convert powerpoint to video

J

Jasper Recto

Does anybody know of any software that can take a rehearsed PowerPoint show
and convert it to a AVI file or other format that I can burn to a DVD?

We want to display our company PowerPoint at a trade show.

Thanks,
Jasper

Before the spammers come and offer you all their products, check this out
from the PPT FAQ:

Hi there
I have tried several products but the best one by far is Wondershare
PowerPoint to Video.

It is absolutely first class!!

Kind regards

Questions about the Wondershare, please :
1. Will the file size of the video ballooned ?
2. If the ppt has been " optimized ", will it work on Wondershare ? If yes,
again, will the video file size change ?

Just downloaded trial version of Wondershare.
It won't recognize pps that are ' optimized' ( by NXPowerLite ).
It works fine on ' regular ' pps.

Further update :
Using Wondershare : a 8.89 MB non-optimized pps has ballooned to a 24.8 MB
video.
I guess e-mailing it out is out of the question.... :-(

With the greatest of respect, I am not a spammer! I just tried to help
someone who asked a question. I use Wondershare software in my
PowerPoint2Video business, as it is an excellent product.

The text, especially with the first class and the two exclamation points,
looks kind of spammy. Also, spam is always a user ID who has never been here
before, who just happened to pop in at the right moment.

I started using this site in the hope that I would learn quite a lot.
Instead, I have been accused of being a spammer - which I am not - and also
my punctuation
has been criticised as well.

Before you go any further, I am an English graduate from the UK (I teach
English as a foreign language) and I take exception at your accusations and
criticisms.

I haven't used this site before because my experience with forums hasn't
been enjoyable and your comments have consolidated my feelings. If this is
the kind of treatment you hand out to people who are genuine then I won't
bother again. I
shall confine my comments to people who are really interested in helping one
another because obviously you are not.

The software I recommended I use frequently because compared to other
packages, such as Camtasia Studio 6, it is far superior.

Here are a few pointers you can learn, if you are not a spammer :
1. You made your reply to LQ instead of to the intender responder. Click on
that person's message FIRST, then click Reply Group.
2. LQ is the perfect example of what is a spammer. The message in this
thread and the one titled PPT to Video is exactly the same, word for word.
3. Time to dump that web-based interface you are using to reach this
newsgroup.
4. If you start replying to questions posted to you. You don't have to have
an answer, just reply.

Thank you very much for your helpful comments.

I am very new to this site and to be perfectly frank I wish I hadn't
bothered.
I do feel, however, that subscribers should find out whether or not the
person
is a spammer first before passing judgement.

I have complained to Microsoft about the unpleasant attitude of people on
this site and I will certainly pass on my experiences to any UK individuals
who wish access it.

"Innocent until proven guilty" is the old adage.Perhaps some of the
subscribers
should bear that in mind.

Once again thank you for your helpful comments and for taking the time to
explain.

You might have been misinformed. This newsgroup and other newsgroups
carrying the name " Microsoft " by name ONLY. They do not belong to MS.
Consequently MS has nothing to do with these newsgroups.
All responders, including the MS-MVPs, are strictly volunteers. This is a
peer to peer help group.
I had a person questioning why I put a space between quotation marks, as if
that was his business. Don't let that kind of comment tainted the overall
usefulness of this and other newsgroups.
It takes all kinds to make this world.

Before you jump off and advertise that this is the worst place in the world
to come for help, you might want to give the newsgroup another chance. You
may even get to like it here. Now that you have identified yourself, things
will more than likely get a lot better ;-o))

For the past couple of years this newsgroup has been inundated with
spammers. People who just suggest their products without trying to really
solve the users question. So when someone new shows up and replies to a
large number of questions with basically the same reply and a new product it
is not hard to jump to the wrong conclusion.

Many thanks for your comments and explanation.
I won't jump off and denigrate this site but I just felt very upset at being
labelled a spammer when I was just trying to help. As I have been on the
receiving end of spam there's no way I would even dream of doing it.

I do appreciate you taking the time to explain, so I will try the site again
in the future.

What is the metric? How does one know?

Whether or why is not my business, but my curiosity is my right.
