convert number to text

What is the quick way to convert a number in a cell to
text?? I can't remember. I'm working with Office 97.

I think you mean convert a number value to an english word?

there is an add in called morefunc.dll here;
http://longre.free.fr/english/

There is a formula called NUMTEXT that converts, for example, 45 into
"forty-five".

If you mean the number as text, tehn the text function

=Text(A1,number format

Oops. I meant an apostrophe. Old age is killing me. Otto
