Need assistance in converting an MS word document to a jpeg format
Anyone's help would be appreciated. Thanks!

The JPEG format is a format for graphics -- not for text
documents.

You could take a screen shot of a Word doc and save the
screen shot (which is a "picture") as a JPEG.

Hope this helps.

If you need it in a viewable format for a web site, etc.,
PDF is a *much* better option. I cannot imagine a reason
to create an image - especially a JPEG. If you want to put
an image of the document in a Word or PPT, use the Picture
format. It is smaller, and is *much* better for Word.

You will probably be able to output the document to your fax software to
produce a graphical output (save from the preview) but the range of
graphical formats is limited by the software (often to TIF) and the
resolution may be poor. The simplest plan is to use the driver from the
application SnagIt which can produce multi-page images in any graphical
format you wish - including TIF. The software is linked from the favourites
page of my web site.

Oops - a senior moment :(
"SnagIt which can produce multi-page images in any graphical format you
wish - including TIF" should have read 'including jpg'.
