convert message to text after receiving.

I have some messages that I like to keep --- for a while--- in my inbox or
folders. Is there a way to convert the rich text and html message to plain
text after I have received them? without archiving it or saving it outside of
outlook. Trying to save space. thanks

I have 2007... newly

hoping to keep the e-mail in its folder (in outlook) and with sender date/
time, etc.... so that I can search in my e-mail folders and forward or
re-send if necessary.

What version of Outlook are you using??

Options:

1. Forward to a new Yahoo, Hotmail, GMail account (message will reside on
their servers)
2. Forward email to yourself but do not press send - change Format to Plain
Text (formatted text will become plain text, Pictures, Tables, and background
will be removed) and save or save as
3. Send to OneNote
4. Drag and drop email out of Outlook
5. Copy body of message - paste into notepad and save

Forward email (new window should open) => Options => change Format to Plain
Text => Compatibility Checker window opens => Continue => goto Office button
=> from there it is up to you - Save and file will be saved in Drafts Folder
- Move and select a folder

You will then need to manually delete the message from your inbox.

Alternatively, write a macro and add macro button by customizing toolbar
