Convert header/footer to in-text ?

Hi there,

Is there a way I can convert the header/footer to body part?
The reason is that I have many word files, they all have header/footer,
I need to combine them, but after combine them, I need a overall
header/footer, also keep the original header/footer in the body part.

Any idea?

not really sure what you want - but you can "Edit/Copy" a header/footer from
one doc & "Edit/Paste Special/as Link" into the body of another doc
