convert 10 as october

I want to convert number to corresponding month eg., 1 Jan and so on

Hi Anitha

One way, with your number in A1, enter in B1
=DATE(1,A1,1)
and format cell B1 as Format>Cells>Custom> mmm

Date takes Date(Year,Month,Day) but we are not interested in the day or
year, hence 1 will suffice in each case.
The result will be 01 Jan 1901, but the format will cause it to show as
just Jan.

That should have been if A1 contains 1
If A1 contains 10, then it would be 01 Oct 1901 and will show Oct.
