conversion to windows me from xp

i am trying to install a program that tells me i need
windows 98 or me but i have xp. Is it possible to still
install the program or is there a update for free?

Hi

There may be a 'patch' for the program, but you would have check on the program's web site. If you can install it, you may be able to run the program in 'Compatibility' mode. After the install right click on the ..EXE file for that program, select Properties and then Compatibility tab. Several options are then available to you.

You probably have several options here. I would check the following:

1. Check if there is an update for the software you want to install.
2. Run the program in compatibility mode.
