Convering String to Date

Hi

Does anyone know if it is possible to change the 26FEB04
into a date format. I have tried changing the Number
Format to date but this is not working.

One way:

Choose Data/Text to columns, click Next, Next, then select the Date in
the appropriate format from the dropdown. Click Finish.

Select an empty cell
Copy
Select the cells with this format
Edit > Paste Special > Add > OK
Format the resulting number as a date.
