conv mov to mp3 files

is there a freeware prog to convert mov files to mp3? I videoed a radio
prog as i didn't have a tape recorder or a mini-disk player with me. i am
trying to listen to them as MP3 files and obviously do not need to mov data
as the lens caps was on cos i only needed sound.

MediaCoder <http://mediacoder.sourceforge.net/index.htm> claims to do
this.

I've never used it so I can't verify that.
