Controls on continuous forms

I have a form with a subform. The subform is set to Continuous Forms. On each
record I have to select a program. Based on the selection I make, various
controls will appear to accommodate more selections or data entries. My
problem is this:

When a program is selected, the controls will change on every record. I need
the selection to only affect the current record.

Is this possible?

Changes like making fields visible apply to all rows in a continuous form.
