Controlling text format when paste from IE 6 to mail message

I am using IE 6 and Outlook 2003
When I copy text from a web page and paste it into a mail message I want to
paste just the text without the formatting. How do I control the formatting
without pasting and then editing the format in the message window?

I don't think that's possible.

I usually click Format, choose a different format than I'm using, then
switch back to the original format.

You can use a tool like PureText (http://www.stevemiller.net/puretext/)
to strip formatting from the clipboard. I couldn't live without it...
