Control Visibility

Greetings everyone. If I make a text box visible do I also need to disable
it, or does invisibility render it not useable? I am concerned about a user
possibly altering a record if, by chance, they happen to click in an
invisible text box. I am using Access 2003. Thank you.
 
Thanks again to you Doug. I thought that was the case when I tested it out,
I just wanted to make sure.
