control toolbox disappeared

When in design view on the a form I am unable to show the
control toolbox. When I go to View>Toolbox this is
selectable however it does not appear on my screen.

I have tried this from a new database and the problem
persists so it must have something to do with the setup of
access.

Does anyone know what is wrong here?

The simplest and the most effective solution is to reinstall MS Access
