Here's a weird one. XP Home. When I access the control panel I get repeated messages stating that my video acceleration should be adjusted to full.. It's already set at full. This message pops up about 5 or 6 times as XP accesses the control panel and then finally subsides. Any clue as to why this may occur?
Thanks very much,

Are you running a video driver that came with Windows XP or one from the
manufacturer? An updated driver may resolve this.

Thanks very much,

Have you tried lowering it? After all, one has to hit "exit" in dos to
start windows and hit "start" to stop the pc.

OEM, came with XP Home.. Onboard video at the moment, no whiz bang card yet..
Thanks..

Great idea.. but it didn't work.
The original post was from memory, looked into it further and the message is actually referring to Sound properties.
"To enable the advanced sound effect for gaming, please make sure the setting of the Hardware Acceleration is "full".
Then it gives directory paths for Win98,Win2k and XP..
Sorry if the original post was misleading. It's onboard sound as well..
