control panel

When I click on any of the control panel icons it acts as though it's going
to open but it doesn't. The only way I can get into Control Panel is through
windows explorer. can someone please help!

Does it happen after you reboot? Does it happen after you do a System
Restore? I'm not smart enough to know what causes your problem but I usually
get around it by right clicking on the folder and then selecting Open. I'm
sure there are many knowledgeable people in this forum who know what causes
this problem. However, I am not one of them.
